  • Describe the prevalence of age-related macular degeneration and classify by severity: early, intermediate, and advanced (ie, wet AMD and geographic atrophy [GA]).
  •  Explain the pathogenesis of GA.
  •  Distinguish which imaging modalities are best suited for GA evaluation.
  •  Categorize new therapies in the pipeline for GA.
  •  Evaluate the functional and anatomic outcomes used in managing patients with GA.
