    This panel discussion, hosted by Vernon K. Sondak, MD, summarizes information gathered from a unique continuing education activity involving members of interdisciplinary care teams who care for patients with basal cell carcinoma (BCC).

    Dr. Sondak, along with Brian Hibler, MD; Kristine Kucera, PA-C, MPAS, DHS; and Whitney Lewis, PharmD, BCOP, discuss overall gaps in knowledge, barriers to using the most modern treatments for BCC, and suggestions for how to care for patients with BCC on a day-to-day basis.

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

    • Identify patients for whom hedgehog inhibitor therapy may no longer be viable due to lack of response or adverse events
    • Design an interdisciplinary approach to identifying patients with advanced BCC
    • Identify non-clinical patient needs to consider when assembling an interdisciplinary team to direct treatment and manage patients with advanced BCC
