  • Overview

    This activity will focus on new surgical techniques, incorporating new technology, and advanced case management in corneal refractive, cataract, and glaucoma surgery. Additionally, discussions on current and future pharmacologic agents in the management of ocular surface disease, glaucoma, and postoperative inflammation will be presented. The primary target audience consists of practicing ophthalmologists, optometrists, and allied health professionals engaged in the medical and surgical management of patients with corneal diseases, refractive error, presbyopia, cataract, and glaucoma.

    Supported by unrestricted educational grants from Johnson & Johnson, Staar Surgical and Ziemer.

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

    • Identify recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
    • Identify major advances in key areas of cutting-edge research and technology in ophthalmology.

    • Identify and integrate practice management strategies to address critical business and operational tasks in the ophthalmologist’s practice.
    • Formulate strategies to manage patients with Presbyopia and Astigmatism.
    • Identify best practices in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS).
    • Identify recent clinical outcomes and components of today’s cataract surgery and technologies.
