    An estimated 16 million people in the United States have a formal dry eye disease (DED) diagnosis, yet experts know the condition is notoriously underdiagnosed.

    Join Drs. Nichols, O'Dell, & Vollmer as they share their insight and expertise into the complexities of meibomian gland dysfunction–related DED and the best approach for diagnosing and treating each patient.

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

    • Summarize the clinical signs and symptoms of dry eye disease
    • Recognize and explain meibomian gland dysfunction-related dry eye disease pathology
    • Discuss the current and emerging methods in diagnosing meibomian gland dysfunction
    • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with dry eye disease
    • Describe the mechanisms of action for current and emerging agents
