  • Overview

    This activity is designed to bring U.S. optometrists and ophthalmologists together to study and discuss new technologies and practices in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. This meeting will provide for the exchange of ideas between leading scientists and physicians.

    This activity is supported by unrestricted educational grants from AbbVie, Carl Zeiss Meditec, Glaukos, Heidelberg Engineering, New World Medical, Ora, Inc, Qlaris Bio, and Santen.

     

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

    • Interpret the challenges and limitations of AI in clinical applications
    • Evaluate the efficacy of diagnosing glaucoma using OCT alone
    • Compare and assess VR perimetry with conventional visual field testing
    • Discuss the use of artificial intelligence as related to glaucoma
    • Explain the applications of genetics in glaucoma treatment
    • Define the possibilities of optic nerve transplantation
    • Describe the clinical advantages to 3D reconstruction of the optic nerve head and peri-papillary tissue
