    ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION This activity focuses on providing ongoing and continuous education with up-to-date information and cases for anterior segment specialists and general ophthalmologists involved in the treatment and management of patients with dry eye disease (DED).This educational activity is supported by an independent medical educational grant from Shire.
  • Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
    • Discuss the mechanism of action of dry eye disease.
    • Evaluate the signs and symptoms in patients with dry eye complaints.
    • Discuss the prevalence of dry eye disease.
    • Develop a differential diagnosis for patients with complaints of dry eye.
