  • Overview

As the great imitator, IgG4-RD can closely mimic any number of diseases throughout the body, necessitating a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and managing the disease. However, unlike many of its mimics, IgG4-RD can be effectively treated, if diagnosed early. Led by Dr. John H. Stone (Program Chair, rheumatologist), this case-based panel discussion offers a unique, interactive experience to deepen your understanding of IgG4-RD. Together with a distinguished multidisciplinary faculty team – Drs. Avinash Kambadakone-Ramesh (radiologist), J. Matthias Löhr (gastroenterologist), and Yoh Zen (pathologist) – the session will delve into complex cases, presenting them in a step-by-step manner. Through collaborative analysis and discussions, this panel promises to provide valuable insights into the nuances of diagnosing and managing IgG4-RD.

This activity is supported by an independent medical education grant from Amgen.

  • Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

    • Describe the prevalence, etiology, and pathophysiology of IgG4-related disease
    • Identify the individual organ manifestations/clinical features that may support a diagnosis of IgG4-related disease
    • Outline the diseases and/or conditions whose manifestations have substantial overlap with IgG4-RD
    • Analyze clinical, serological, histopathological, and radiological findings to facilitate early diagnosis of patients with IgG4-related disease
    • Explain how patients with IgG4-RD are currently treated
    • Develop effective co-management strategies to improve outcomes for patients with IgG4-RD
