Overview
Diabetes is the leading cause of new cases of blindness among adults age 18 to 64 years, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s 2020 National Diabetes Statistics Report. This activity reviews the management of patients with diabetic macular edema, with a focus on 1- and 2-year results of the Protocol T clinical trial.This educational activity is supported by a medical educational grant from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and Carl Zeiss Meditec.
