  • Overview

Trigeminal dysphoria is a term that describes a variety of symptoms including headaches, eyestrain, dry eye sensation, neck, and shoulder pain. New research suggests that computer vision syndrome, also called digital eye strain, is a form of visually induced trigeminal dysphoria. Clinicians who treat patients with these symptoms must be aware and understand why patients with trigeminal dysphoria are symptomatic and how to treat it.This activity is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from eyeBrain Medical Inc.
  • Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:• Describe the optical neurological mechanism triggering headaches and how it relates to neck pain/tension and eye fatigue • Explain how trigeminal dysphoria is a condition resulting from a misalignment in the visual system that causes stimulation of the trigeminal nerve, triggering patient symptoms • Identify insights into how to identify and treat patients suffering from a misalignment in their vision
