    This highly dynamic, interactive discussion focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and disease progression of both Dry and Wet AMD, as well as exploring the differential diagnosis of diseases that can mimic both forms of AMD.

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

    • Identification of the incidence and risk factors for Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)
    • Describe how disease progression will affect vision
    • Identification of early signs of Wet and Dry AMD
    • Review of the differential diagnosis of retinal diseases that can mimic both Wet and Dry AMD
    • Review of treatments for Wet AMD and current trials for both Wet and Dry AMD
    • Discuss ability to give a short differential diagnosis for subretinal fluid
    • Describe basic treatment options for CNV
    • Describe simple approach to determine CNV treatment effect
