    Program Learning Objectives:

    • Determine, customize, and modify phacoemulsification settings to maximize outcomes for complex cataract cases, and review the need to alter settings as necessary. 
    • Analyze the key unique details of phacoemulsification functions in peristaltic and venturi pumps, fluidics and phaco power modulation, as well as techniques for nuclear disassembly and hydrodissection in complex cataract cases.
    • Review best practices for phacoemulsification and surgical techniques to maximize outcomes in complex cataract cases.
