The Focused Sight Initiative: Quality Improvement Interventions in Retinal Diseases
This multi-format quality improvement initiative addresses referral inefficiencies, care coordination gaps, and treatment adherence challenges in managing retinal diseases, including neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), diabetic eye disease, and retinal vein occlusion (RVO). Educational components include live and on-demand seminars featuring complex case discussions led by retina specialists, with a focus on improving referral timing, enhancing patient education, and implementing operational protocols that support consistent anti-VEGF treatment. Additional nonaccredited resources, including an expert panel discussion, multidisciplinary case discussion and digital workbooks, supplement the accredited offerings to enable practice-level change.
