Overview
Drs. Modi, Kaden, and Read will provide valuable guidance on utilizing imaging techniques and biomarkers to identify patients with geographic atrophy (GA) who need timely referral to a retina specialist. They will also review the efficacy and safety data of the two approved GA therapies, enabling you to confidently educate your patients.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Describe the prevalence of AMD and GA
- Explain which risk factors are likely to lead to AMD and GA
- Formulate tactics for educating patients about the pathophysiology of GA
- Determine which patients with GA qualify for referral to a retinal specialist
- Recognize which imaging modalities and biomarkers are most useful for disease characterization
- Summarize clinical and real-world safety and efficacy data about approved GA therapies
