    Drs. Neda Shamie and Bill Trattler discuss how genetic testing for keratoconus may help catch refractive surgery candidates who may be at risk for developing keratoconus. They also discuss the future of genetic testing in other parts of the ophthalmic practice. This is Part 2 of 2.

    Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

    • Identify the accuracy of various conventional and new genetic testing metrics for identifying refractive surgery patients who may be at risk for developing keratoconus
    • Review treatment options for refractive surgery candidates who have or are likely to develop keratoconus
