In this MasterClass, Drs. Deborah Ristvedt and Daniel Terveen discuss the intraoperative and postoperative causes of pain and discomfort with cataract surgery. They describe the advantages and disadvantages of topical therapy and the barriers to patient compliance with drops. They also discuss alternatives to traditional post-cataract topical treatments, including intracanalicular inserts of dexamethasone.
