In this MasterClass, Dr. Justin Schweitzer discusses the intraoperative and postoperative causes of pain and discomfort with cataract surgery. He describes the advantages and disadvantages of topical therapy and the barriers to patient compliance with drops. He also discusses alternatives to traditional post-cataract topical treatments, including intracanalicular inserts of dexamethasone.
