    An estimated 16 million people in the United States have a formal dry eye disease (DED) diagnosis, yet experts know the condition is notoriously underdiagnosed.

    Join Drs. Beckman, Matossian, and Pepose as they share their insight and expertise into the complexities of meibomian gland dysfunction–related DED and the best approach for diagnosing and treating each patient.

  • Learning Objectives

    Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

    • Summarize the clinical signs and symptoms of dry eye disease
    • Recognize and explain meibomian gland dysfunction-related dry eye disease pathology
    • Discuss the current and emerging methods in diagnosing meibomian gland dysfunction
    • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with dry eye disease
    • Describe the mechanisms of action for current and emerging agents
