Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: • Discuss the prevalence of dry eye disease and the related signs and symptoms of patients • Develop a differential diagnosis for patients with complaints of dry eye • Propose an individualized treatment plan for patients using current U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved therapies • Evaluate how dry eye disease can complicate surgical outcomes and how best to manage dry eye disease in these states • Differentiate the need for constant maintenance and ongoing ophthalmic care for the various dry eye disease treatments.
