Overview
Allen C. Ho, MD, FACS, and Eric Nudleman MD, PhD, share their insights on best practices and strategies for a cross-disciplinary approach to diabetes management to better manage patients with diabetic retinopathy. Through complex case discussions, these leaders in retina also review ways to execute patient education plans highlighting the importance of frequent diabetic macular edema treatment to improve patient compliance.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Discuss the benefits of consistent anti-VEGF treatment.
- Explain why patients with diabetic retinopathy (DR) and diabetic macular edema (DME) are so often lost to follow-up.
- Execute patient education plans on the importance of frequent DME treatment to improve treatment and exam compliance.
